Accused. I was a member of the Fourth Route Army of the Kwantung Province. I was a private in the heavy artillery of the Eastern District. I took part in hostilities on the shum Chun border & was interned in Hongkong. On 30th May 1940 I was chased & I was attacked. How & where I don't know. I had lost a fan some days previously & I blamed all of them for stealing it. Deceased may have thought I was accusing him. Deceased said not a word to me but just attacked, me.
Previous to this I had a quarrel with deceased about a basket ball. That was before the fan incident. Deceased struck me hard on the left chest with his closed fist. That was just as I was passing his bed. I was so badly hammered that I felt unconscious. I don't know what happened after that as I was
unconscious. I ran to my own bed & got into it. Deceased followed me & assaulted me in my own bed, I became unconscious & knew nothing more about it. As I was being chased I picked up something to use it to protect myself.
